You spoke and we listened (design feedback homepage)

by Ponsford, Bennett C last modified 2008-08-14 15:42
Changes are coming to the Texas A&M University Libraries web site and they're based on your feedback. Through surveys, focus groups, and online discussions, you asked for a web site that is:

  • more aesthetically pleasing
  • easier to navigate
  • compatible with a wide variety of browsers and operating systems
  • accessible
  • and more integrated

And we're working to bring this to you. In order to give you more of what you want as soon as possible, we will be releasing pieces of the new web site over the next several months .  So, whenever you see the new Texas A&M University Libraries beta logo, you'll know that you're looking at part of the new web site.

From an aesthetic point of view, we're striving for a site that is calm and easy to work with during projects, extensive research, etc. We're also trying to allow for more channels of communication to our audiences to encourage use of existing services and to announce new ones. One of our efforts is to streamline how the libraries as a whole communicates to the university. This is our first step in being able to speak as one without losing each libraries individual identity.

Let us know what you think of all these changes by commenting at our LibraryTalk forum as we go through this process of updating our new site.
